Q&A with Hannah Watson, Colliers Sales Executive Currently working on Lime Living Cannon Hill

Hannah Watson got her taste for property early on, when she invested in an off-the-plan apartment in Morningside. A first-time buyer, she immediately recognised the value in this type of investment. We’ve asked Hannah to share a few insights about the Brisbane property market, investing in apartments, and, perhaps most importantly, what’s so special about Lime.

Q:  Why should people be investing in Brisbane?

A:  Brisbane is establishing itself as a global city. We see that through the different types of construction happening all over Brisbane. Being the Sunshine State, we have many people moving here from interstate and overseas to enjoy what Queensland, and particularly Brisbane, have to offer. With that in mind, it’s easy to see why Brisbane property investments are smart in the long term.

Q:  Why should people be investing in apartments?

A:  Our lifestyles have changed – nowadays, people enjoy having everything at their fingertips with very little maintenance. So it makes sense that people are choosing to live in close proximity to the city.

Apartments are also a great option for first home owners. Queensland’s First Home Owner Grant has made purchasing an apartment achievable in desirable areas, and if you want to live close to the city, it’s more affordable to purchase an apartment than a house.
